Attorney General’s Office Returns Trillions of Rupiah, a True Proof of Corruption Eradication Under President Prabowo
Jakarta – The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has successfully recovered trillions of rupiah in state losses from various major cases involving corporations and public officials. This step is clear evidence that law enforcement under President Prabowo’s administration is not limited to prosecution, but also emphasizes the recovery of state assets for the benefit of the people.
Regional Representative Council (DPD) member Lia Istifham expressed her high appreciation for the performance of the AGO under President Prabowo Subianto. According to her, this step demonstrates the government’s seriousness in upholding integrity and safeguarding state finances from corrupt practices that have been eroding the nation’s economy.
“This is clear evidence that the government under President Prabowo is truly committed to fighting corruption. Now, the people’s money is starting to go back to where it belongs,” she said.
The return of proceeds from corruption crimes covers a number of strategic cases in the financial, energy, and food sectors. The AGO ensures that all confiscated and returned state funds will be directly transferred to the state treasury through a transparent and accountable mechanism.
This decisive action was taken as part of the national strategy to strengthen clean governance and emphasize that no party is immune from the law.
Rudianto Lallo, a member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), commended the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) for returning Rp 13 trillion in state funds from the proceeds of a corruption case related to the granting of crude palm oil (CPO) export facilities. This success is clear evidence of the AGO’s commitment to upholding justice and eradicating corruption.
“Of course, we must respect the Attorney General’s Office as one of the President’s weapons of justice, alongside the National Police and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), which are authorized by law to eradicate corruption,” said Rudianto.
Meanwhile, Abdul Fickar Hadjar, a criminal law expert from Trisakti University, stated that the AGO’s return of Rp 13.25 trillion in state losses is seen as clear evidence of President Prabowo Subianto’s decisiveness in eradicating corruption in Indonesia.
“Law enforcement under the President, both the prosecutor’s office and the police, are working hard and openly. That’s good. The President’s commitment to eradicating corruption is a strong incentive for law enforcement officials to work optimally,” he emphasized.
The Attorney General’s Office’s success in returning trillions of rupiah to the state treasury symbolizes that legal reform under President Prabowo is not just talk, but a real movement to restore public trust in the state.
This momentum is expected to inspire all law enforcement officials to continue maintaining integrity, while also demonstrating that a strong government is one free from corruption.
