The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is upgrading several supporting infrastructure facilities in the Labuan Bajo area and Tana Mori area, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Director General (Dirjen) Cipta Karya of the PUPR Ministry Diana Kusumastuti said that development in the Labuan Bajo area and Tana Mori area not only plays a role in supporting the holding of the 42nd Asean Summit, but also improves the quality of tourism, the environment and the region’s sustainable economy.

“Increasing facilities through the construction and greening of infrastructure at the venue for the 42nd ASEAN Summit shows Indonesia’s commitment to bringing ASEAN into an area that has an important role for the people, the region and for the world,” said Diana Kusumastuti in her statement to the media.

Previously, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Uno, also participated in ensuring the preparation of Labuan Bajo as the location for the 2023 ASEAN Summit. Sandiaga revealed that he was also preparing the availability of electricity and clean water as well as a better internet network in the region.
