Gifli Buinei Appreciates the Designation of Merauke as National Food Barn
Papua – The General Chairperson of the DPP Pemuda Saireri Papua and a Papuan youth figure, Gifli Buinei, expressed his appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, for his strategic steps in determining Merauke Regency as a national food barn. According to him, this decision is the right policy and can have a positive impact on the Papuan people, especially the residents of Merauke Regency.
In his statement, Gifli Buinei emphasized that Merauke Regency has great potential to become a national food barn. This is due to several main factors, including the vast agricultural land, soil fertility, and climate conditions that optimally support the agricultural sector. With the existence of supporting natural resources, he believes that Merauke Regency can become a center for food security that contributes greatly to Indonesia.
“I, Gifli Buinei, as a Papuan youth figure, would like to express my appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto for the right steps in determining Merauke Regency as a national food barn area. This determination is based on various factors, such as the size of agricultural land, soil fertility, and climate conditions that strongly support the growth of the agricultural sector,” said Gifli Buinei.
Furthermore, he said that this decision not only has an impact on Merauke Regency, but also on all Papuan people in general. According to him, central government policies must always provide direct benefits to local communities, especially in terms of economic welfare and improving living standards. Therefore, the national food security program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto must be monitored together so that it can be realized properly.
“We as Papuan youth hope that this policy will truly benefit the local community. This national food security program is a very good step and must receive full support from all elements of society, including the young generation of Papua,” he added.
In addition, Gifli Buinei also invited all Papuan people to support and play an active role in making the national food security program a success. He emphasized that this program would not run optimally without the support and involvement of the Papuan people themselves. According to him, the Papuan people should not just be spectators, but must participate in the implementation of this program so that its benefits can be felt directly.
“I appeal to all Papuan people, especially the younger generation, to jointly support and participate in overseeing this program. Don’t just be spectators, but must participate in realizing this national food security program. With our active involvement, the economy of the Papuan people can improve and food security in our region will also be stronger,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of local community involvement in every process of realizing this program. The hope is that the Papuan people will not only be part of this program as beneficiaries, but also as active actors in its management and development. This, according to him, will ensure the sustainability of the national food security program and improve the welfare of the Papuan people in a sustainable manner.
“The determination of Merauke Regency as a national food barn, even with the potential to become a world food barn, is a serious commitment from the central government to improve the welfare of the people. However, the success of this program is very dependent on the support of all of us. Therefore, let us make this program a success together for a better future for Papua,” concluded Gifli Buinei.
With the support of various parties, especially the young generation of Papua, it is hoped that the national food security program centered in Merauke Regency can run well and have a positive impact on the Papuan people and Indonesia as a whole.
