Journalists Support the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, NTT

Labuan Bajo – Indonesia will host the 42nd ASEAN Summit in 2023. The event, which will be held in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), 9-11 May 2023, will receive support from a number of people, including from journalists.

Journalflores.com journalist Gecio Viana said that the holding of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo could improve the tourism and creative industries sector and improve the post-Covid-19 economy, especially in the Labuan Bajo area.

“The ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo is expected to improve the tourism sector and the creative industry after Covid-19,” said Gecio.

Previously, TVRI journalist Alexander Hatol said it was hoped that international events like this could continue to be held in Labuan Bajo in order to increase community MSMEs to be involved in national and international activities.

“So that international events can continue to be held in Labuan Bajo in order to increase community MSMEs who will be involved in international and national activities,” he said.

The same thing was also conveyed by the Chairman of the West Manggarai Journalists Association, Maselun Pahun. He thanked President Jokowi for choosing Labuan Bajo as the host for the ASEAN Summit. This event is expected to be an opportunity to revive MSMEs in West Manggarai Regency.

“Thank you to President Jokowi for choosing Labuan Bajo as the host for the ASEAN Summit. Hopefully this will be an opportunity to revive MSMEs in West Manggarai,” said Maselun.
