The terror that continues to be carried out by KST Papua has in fact caused deep trauma to the minds of the people and civilians in Cenderawasih Earth. Therefore, the security forces were immediately on standby to increase security in the relevant areas and even carried out a number of activities entitled trauma healing for residents.
The Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) has indeed been around for a long time, even today it continues to carry out various types of terror that threaten the safety of innocent civilians. Recently, terror was carried out on the Susi Air Pilatus Porter Airplane which was reported to have been set on fire by KST Papua shortly after landing at the Paro District Airport, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains Province on Tuesday 7 February 2023.
It is known that the Pilatus Porter Susi Air plane with Flight Number SI 9386 actually had a destination from Timika to Paro and then back to Timika. However, shortly after landing in Paro, the plane lost contact and could not be contacted at all.
Regarding this matter, the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Kombes Pol Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, in his statement on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, conveyed the chronology of the Pilatus Porter Susi Air plane at Paro Airport. He said that indeed the plane lost contact after landing in Paro.
Even though it should have been, as stated by Susi Air Airlines itself, the plane should have returned to Mozes Kilangin Airport in Mimika Regency at 07:40 Eastern Indonesian Time (WIT), but it turned out that the plane did not return to the airport until the specified time. .
Furthermore, Kombes Pol Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo added that the Susi Air Pilatus Porter plane had indeed been detained by the Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) in Nduga Papua which was a group led by Egianus Kogoya. It was even reported that the ill-fated plane was seen emitting a thick puff of smoke at Paro Airport.
As a result of a number of acts of terror that continued to be perpetrated by KST Papua, starting from the shootings to arson, of course, this has triggered extraordinary fear among the people of Bumi Cenderawasih themselves. In fact, due to the local residents’ fear, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel immediately carried out trauma healing to calm the residents.
The trauma healing activity carried out by TNI personnel and led directly by the 1715/Yahukimo Kodim Commander, Major Arh Soni BS Simanjuntak was very well received by the entire community. He stated that he was there indeed assigned to guard the security of the community.
Of course, maintaining public safety is very important to be maintained and ensured because some time ago there has been a security disturbance, namely the terror that continues to be carried out by KST Papua so that it even creates fear for the people in Cenderawasih Earth itself.
For this reason, according to Major Arh Soni BS Simanjuntak, the security forces have a very strong commitment and together with the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to continue guarding the area and will protect the children who are there so they can go to school again.
Furthermore, the 1715/Yahukimo Kodim Commander advised the whole community to be able to report to the security forces consisting of joint personnel between the TNI and Polri if they saw groups spreading terror.
In fact, he advised, if indeed the public knows that there are people who are suspicious, they can be reported immediately. Of course, if the community actively participates in maintaining security in their environment by reporting, then this will be an effort to minimize disturbances that could occur again in the future. Therefore, according to him, the younger generation must be active and continue to learn and not to fall into the trap like the KST group.
During the trauma healing activity, the Commander of the 1715-01/Oksibil Koramil, Captain Cba Dwi Wawan H said that currently the security forces from the joint personnel consisting of the TNI and Polri are continuing to carry out patrols carrying weapons.
With the patrols being carried out by the security forces and the weapons, he then hopes that the whole community will not feel afraid because the patrols aim to continue to protect the people of Bumi Cenderawasih themselves from threats and disturbances from KST Papua.
It is undeniable that there is a deep sense of trauma experienced by the Papuan people because this is due to the feelings of fear they feel. How could it not be, because KST Papua continues to carry out terror in the region and until now it has not stopped.
