Nusa Dua, Bali – The Archipelagic and Island States Forum (AIS Forum Summit) was officially closed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The holding of the 2023 AIS Forum Summit proves that Indonesia is capable of becoming a pioneer of an international standard forum.
In his closing speech, President Jokowi said that holding the AIS Summit was one of Indonesia’s commitments to work together at a higher level as an international organization in taking concrete steps to handle regional and world issues as well as continuing to voice the interests of developing countries and developing countries. archipelago state.
“Indonesia is honored to host the AIS Forum Summit, a forum to strengthen collaboration between archipelagic countries and island states connected by the sea. “Collaboration and unity of archipelagic countries and island countries is really needed to be able to grow together and overcome the various existing challenges,” said President Jokowi at the Bali Nusa Dua Conference Center (BNDCC), Wednesday (11/10).
President Jokowi added that the AIS Summit also provided strategic benefits related to calculating marine carbon and preserving mangrove forests. For Indonesia, the sea is not a divider, but the sea is actually a unifier, a glue and a link.
“At the AIS Summit, Indonesia invited all countries present to maintain unity and collaboration even in a divided world because collaboration is the key to progress. “The sea is not a divider, but a uniter and connector,” he added.
Meanwhile, Member of Commission III DPR RI, Andi Rio Idris Padjalangi expressed his appreciation to the National Police Chief, Pol General. Andi also hopes that the National Police will continue to maintain Indonesia’s good name in the eyes of the world in securing international events held in Indonesia.
