The NTT Community is Ready to Succeed in the 2023 ASEAN Summit

Mabar – Indonesia was asked to host the 2023 ASEAN Summit. After the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summit in Cambodia. The period of Indonesia’s chairmanship in ASEAN itself begins on 1 January 2023 and will last for a year until 31 December 2023.

The ASEAN Summit will be held in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara. The ASEAN Summit (Summit) in Labuan Bajo on 9-11 May had many positive impacts on Indonesia, from the tourism sector to the economy.

For this reason, the community is very supportive of holding the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo. Through the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, it can provide a boost to the domestic economy so that it is able to provide support for economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.

West Manggarai Regent Edistasius Endi also invited the public to support preparations for the ASEAN Summit which is scheduled for May 2023 in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.

“For West Manggarai residents, let’s take our respective roles and really feel the impact of holding the 42nd Asean Summit in Labuan Bajo,” he said.

In addition, West Manggarai Deputy Regent Yulianus Weng also invited West Manggarai Nahdatul Ulama (NU) residents to join together in supporting and succeeding the ASEAN Summit agenda to be held in mid-May 2023 in Labuan Bajo.

Deputy Regent Yulianus expressed his appreciation to NU Mabar residents for their role in contributing to the success of various government activities.

Meanwhile, NU Chairman of West Manggarai Isa M. Jabi stated that he was ready to support the government, provide a sense of security and comfort ahead of the ASEAN Summit.

“As NU members, we are ready to make the ASEAN Summit a success by maintaining a sense of security in West Manggarai,” said Isa M. Jabi.
