CIDISS- After the flood occurred some time ago in some areas in Barito Utara regency, currently in the district become harvest of Seluang fish. Society looks for seluang fish in the River, especially in DAS Barito.
The public is flocking towards the Barito River to look for fish. Even this became a separate party by the community of Barito Utara especially Muara Teweh district in every year when the season the fish as it is today.
Now many fish of Saluang, Benangin, Gandaria and Babanta the murik (heading Upstream) of the river. Season the fish apparently did not escape the events of after flood some time ago. The citizens that live in the River look for fish using a tool in the form of a net like Haup, Rengge, or Nets.
The fish mostly will be consumed on its own for needs at home and when more will be sold. The presence of these fish season is adding to the economic value of the citizens.
The price of fish of Babanta and Saluang is ranged between IDR 10 thousand to 20 thousand per kilogram (kg).
Prices will rise if the fish was already cleaned up, until it reaches up to IDR 30 till IDR 50 thousand per kg.
