Military and police tried hard to enforce the law in Papua, to combat all forms of crime, including separati s and terrorism. Group of separatist terrorists like KKB shall be exterminated so that they no longer terrorize the population. Because the law must be enforced fairly and the comfort of civilians is the main thing.
The security of civilians in Papua is the number one priority and the TNI and Polri are trying to make it happen, by maintaining order there. So far, the chronic problem in Bumi Cendrawasih is the separatist group, aka KKB and OPM. To eradicate them, the government labels them as a terrorist group, to make it more effective.
To help the performance of TNI soldiers in Papua 400 soldiers from Yonif / 315 alias demon troops were deployed. They immediately came to Earth of Cendrawasih and helped eradicate the KKB. The demon troops were chosen because they have a high ability to sniff out enemies and are expected to find KKB to get to their base faster.
The Nemangkawi Task Force has also shown great achievements. They succeeded in attacking 3 KKB members in Mayumberi, Ilaga, Puncak Regency, on May 16, 2021. This attack made the KKB group unable to move because they were hit by bullets. The Ilaga area, Puncak, was chosen for the raid operation, because it was prone to conflict and there were frequent KKB attacks.
Kombes Pol M Iqbal Alqudusy, Head of the Nemangkawi Operations Public Relations Task Force stated that out of the 3 KKB members, it was a shame that 1 person managed to escape. Even though he was shot, he could run away. In that sense, he might run to his headquarters and make other KKB members fear the presence of the Nemangkawi Task Force.
So far, there have been many KKB members who have underestimated the security forces, and even some of them have the heart to shoot the Head of BIN Papua I Gusti Putu Danny Karya Nugraha. However, when there were vicious troops and the Nemangkawi Task Force, the KKB became more and more chaotic. Because its existence began to catch up to its base.
Law enforcement in Papua must be carried out firmly. Because all of this is for the security of the people. Just imagine if a KKB member was only arrested and imprisoned, then he could run away and then terrorize the community, again and again. Or, he can wait for his sentence to run out and then be free and plan separatist actions with other elements.
The public also agreed to measure decisive action taken by the joint military and police forces. The reason is, their terror has been going on for more than 10 years. Civilians are already stressed and mentally exhausted due to threats, both physically and psychologically. By displaying firearms, forcing them to fly the Morning Flag, to kill the public for no reason.
Terror also occurred in cyberspace when KKB members spread hoaxes to netizens, not only for Papuans but also for netizens around the world. They argued that the presence of the TNI would eradicate the Melanesian race. In fact, this is clearly wrong, because the authorities will protect the security of civilians from the threat of a KKB.
Therefore, law enforcement in Papua is being carried out more intensively. Apart from finding out where the KKB headquarters were (because there were more than 1), the apparatus also asked the community to work together. The goal is for them to become informants when there is a suspicious situation. Residents were also asked not to help the KKB even if they only gave them a ride to sleep.
We live in a country of law and all Indonesian citizens must obey the law. However, KKB and OPM always violate the law. By burning schools, destroying public facilities, and shooting civilians and security forces. Because of that, they really deserve to take decisive action.
