The 2019 election is getting closer, of course as our people also have to take part in this great democratic party. Not only to elect the president and vice president but representatives of the people who will be an extension of the people’s aspirations for the next 5 years. But it turns out there are various threats of chaos that will make the election even more hot. So we must continue to be vigilant to minimize the existence of a greater chaos of existing risks.

Facts about the 2019 Election

Several times the debates of presidential and vice-presidential candidates have been witnessed and assessed by the community themselves in establishing their choices. The closer the big elections in 2019 this time indeed save a variety of unique facts. There are various things that you need to know about the implementation of this year’s election, of course, complete with various issues that you may have heard since the beginning of the celebration of the democratic party.

The following are some interesting facts about the 2019 elections that you need to know, namely:

• This year is the first time in the history of the implementation of presidential elections held in conjunction with the election of legislative candidates, so that there will be 5 voting cards obtained to vote. More precisely you will choose a pair of presidents and their representatives, 19,817 DPRD members and 575 DPR members from 185.7 million registered voters

• In this election there were 16 parties participating in the formation of 12 new parties and 4 new parties. Interestingly, from the 16 parties there were two parties that had a female head, namely Megawati as the PDI-P chairman and Grace Nathalie in the newly formed Indonesian Solidarity Party

• Compared to elections in 2014, in 2019 the election budget is 24.8 trillion rupiah. So that it can be said that this cost increased by 700 billion rupiah from before. Of course this is also due to consideration of the increasing need for legislative elections to be held simultaneously

The Potential of 2019 Election Riots

Since the beginning of the 2019 electoral process, it has indeed been quite hot especially with various issues ranging from ballots that have been punched to various hoax news that have developed in the community. Of course this can cause new problems if not addressed properly. It is not only the responsibility of the government but also how people can respond to various things that occur more wisely in the electoral process in order to maintain national unity.

Given the magnitude of the problem in the 2014 elections when Prabowo lost the election with the Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla government at that time, of course it was still clearly remembered. Even so far the split is still felt and even getting heated up closer to the time of the 2019 election. Many opinions are trying to be built in the middle of the community to bring down one party based on this political interest. Of course this must be responded to well by all parties in between.

Some time ago Prabowo had given a statement about Indonesia going extinct if he lost the 2019 election. This was responded to by the Indonesian Police Watch or IPW Presidium that there was a plan to cause chaos after the 2019 election. Surely the possibility of this condition needed to be considered and prevented as much as possible. Do not let the public be easily provoked by the various issues that are deliberately disseminated to the community.

As Indonesian people who love the country, we must also take care of the security of the 2019 elections both before and after. At least don’t be easily consumed by issues circulating in the community before the actual statement is made. Responding to every thing wisely is certainly very important to do, considering that certainly every step of the election will lead to heated conditions not only politically but also among the wider community with their respective choices.
