Central Kalimantan, Kotawaringin Barat, CIDISS – emergency status of Kotawaringin Barat regency, Central Kalimantan toward Rabies. The rabies dog was entered to Kotawaringin Barat through districts of Kotawaringin Lama, Arut Utara and Pangkalan Banteng.
Since February, Rabies dog bitten 18 people and 3 among them positive was infected by raibies, then they died. They are Megawati (10 years old) and Nurpah (58 years old) from Kota waringin lama, then Silvester Bufon (11 years old), citizen of Desa Sungai Hijau, Pangkalan Banteng.
Toward maintenance of rabies since early of 2015, department of agriculture and husbandry of Kotawaringin Barat has been vaccine toward more than 1700 pet dog of citizen. Department of health of Kotawaringin Barat also fast response with prepare ready publich health sector in district in Kotawaringin Barat administrative.
“We have given announcement to the people to avoid bitten of rabies animal, like dog, cat, fox and monkeys.
