The Southeast Sulawesi Capital City of, Kendari, will make Bungkutoko as port and industrial area which is strategically located in Southeast Sulawesi . existence of the Bahteramas bridge which will be the main access from the port to the city.
Asrun, The mayor city of kendari say there are various investment made to build Bungkutoko, ranging from access roads and bridges to land acquisition .
“During the time, Kendari only has ports that are always in the narrow bay, we are sure we will not be able to progress quickly in comparison to other areas with a large port. It has been suggested the IPC (Indonesian Port Commission / Pelindo) to immediately put the container in the port of Bungkutoko. If the port is not transferred, it will interfere with the process of construction of mega projects of the Bahteramas bridge. Said Asrun met on the sidelines of deliberation activities development plan (Musrenbang), on last Thursday.
