President Joko Widodo has launched a transformation Regional Development Bank (BPD) program. It is expected that BPD can be the biggest contributor to developing the region.
Bank Sultra is one of the objectives of transformation. However, according to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) South Sulawesi, human resource issues and banking technology still be major obstacles of Sultra Bank to develop.
Widodo, Head of the OJK South Sulawesi said “Human Resources Bank Sultra still in low skill, and they are still not develop the update banking technology, that thing be major obstacle”.
Widodo is expecting that Bank Sultra can increase in the quality of human resources by recruiting experts, because the Bank Sultra less likely won’t recruit the human resource skill full from the other region, it make them still stuck at the lowest ranking of the other Regional Development Bank in Indonesia.
