CIDISS – Lebaran holiday causes the price of chili to increase in the Palangka Raya, the capital of Central Kalimantan. This is because present of the less number of vegetable sellers.
In addition to traders who are still holiday, the delay in supply from Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan is also the cause of the rising price of chili.
Chili prices had soared to IDR 150,000 per kg. But now prices have gradually recovered the range IDR 70 – 80,000 as the return of traders and the supply of vegetables and chili.
In addition to the condition of the price began to stabilize, the results of checking the Central Kalimantan Satpas Food Teams at several markets that the availability of various staples, especially chili and meat, is safe and able to meet the needs of the community after Eid al-Fitr.
“The Task Force Team of Polda Kalteng has also reminded all distributors and retailers to not raise the price, and we need to worry about the availability of basic commodities as usual,” said Agung.
