CIDISS, Central Kalimantan – Regent of Pulang Pisau regency, Edy Pratowo stated to all corporations which invest in his region, need to consider about gambut land. Not only that statement, has He also wants all corporations to open recruitment for local people employment.
His reason, the investment aim in increasing the people economic and prosperity, moreover, one of the many ways increasing people economic is recruitment employment from local people. Regent also remind, in the investment has aim for prosperity.
He assumed, in Pulang Pisau regency has many scholars and they have various skill in many field. Edy hopes, the requirement of Job Vacancy put the education background or skill background according to local people, and the job vacancy need to consider the local people.
“If they give disadvantage, it’s useless. Then we should have any synergy, hope they give beneficial for all and pay attention when open the gambut land,” said Edy.
Pulang Pisau regency, he said, has Gambut Restoration team (TRG) to keep coordinating with work unit and non government. “This team as facility, aim for handle the fire and restoration or fix the burned gambut land,” he said.
He hopes, TRG keep monitor the current condition of Gambut area in Pulang Pisau. TRG efforts to discuss with people and deliver clear information. TRG need to open in receiving any opinion from people.
