Aceh – The inauguration of the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH) building by President Joko Widodo, scheduled for September 8, 2024, has received an enthusiastic response from the people of Aceh. The AMANAH building is expected to become a center for arts and culture, as well as a symbol of economic revival in the region.
One of the audition participants, Safna Khairati from Sanggar Ceudah Rupa, revealed that the Ranup Lampuan dance to be performed at this inauguration is typically used to welcome important guests.
“This dance is a symbol of the warmth of the Acehnese people in welcoming guests, and we are very proud to perform in front of President Jokowi,” he said.
According to Safina, the dance she intends to perform is very suitable to be showcased during the inauguration of the AMANAH Building, considering that the special guest at the event will be President Jokowi.
“So, in the Ranup Lampuan dance, there is something called picking betel, preparing betel, and serving betel. At the end, they will serve betel to the guests.” “Usually, the performance is at wedding events, at special guest welcoming events,” said Safina.
The presence of the number one person in Indonesia at the inauguration of the AMANAH Building also contributes to the great enthusiasm of the Aceh community, and it is hoped that there will be positive feedback from the President to continue supporting the works of the youth of Aceh.
“With so many performances in front of the President, I hope the President can support the arts activities in Aceh. Furthermore, it can show that Aceh has a lot of potential in its youth,” said Safna.
In addition to the dance performances, this event will also showcase a fashion show featuring creations by young designers from Aceh who have been nurtured through the AMANAH program.
With the various preparations that have been made, the inauguration of the AMANAH Building is expected not only to strengthen the cultural identity of Aceh but also to pave the way for a brighter future for the people of Aceh.
