Makassar – The Third Indonesian Seaweed Forum which will be held coinciding with the South Sulawesi Cultural Festival on November 11, 2015 will be attended by representatives of 20 countries.
The Forum will be organized in South Sulawesi, because South Sulawesi is one of the country`s largest seaweed producing provinces, said Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Seaweed Industry (Asruli) Soerianto Kusnowirjono (11/3).
Among countries that have confirmed their participants are Chili, the Philippines, the United States of America, China, Singapore, and Thailand.The Forum will discuss about strategic cooperation among stakeholders, and a business stability guarantee.
Indonesia produces some 400 – 500 thousand tons of seaweed. We mostly imported to China and the Philippines.
