West Manggarai — National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo gave his highest appreciation for the synergy that occurred in the joint security personnel of the TNI, Polri and BIN because they had been very optimal in securing the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
He himself expressed his gratitude for how the coordination and division of all security forces in the field was carried out.
“So, first of all we thank all members of the National Police and also the gratitude and synergy of the ranks of the TNI. Because indeed for the security operation of the ASEAN Summit, it is divided into rings,” he said.
“Where Mr. Commander is of course fully responsible for carrying out security,” said the Chief of Police.
“And the National Police jointly assist in the implementation of security and specifically, our duties and responsibilities are in ring 3. Pak Commander is in rings 1 and 2,” said Sigit
Of course, the performance of the entire joint personnel security apparatus, namely the TNI, Polri and BIN as well as other stakeholders.
The National Police Chief also emphasized that so far, all the activities of the 2023 ASEAN Summit, even on the closing day, could run very safely and smoothly, without any disturbances, thanks to the performance of the security forces.
Not only that, but because of the maintained security conditions, the delegates could really enjoy all the atmosphere and beauty in Labuan Bajo.
“So, the whole series runs smoothly, on time, and safely. Including last night, the Welcome Dinner series of activities was also completed,” he said.
“I see all heads of state and delegations can really enjoy enjoying the existing atmosphere and enjoying the natural beauty of Labuan Bajo,” said Sigit.
Furthermore, the smooth running of all the activities of the 2023 ASEAN Summit is also due to the very thorough security preparations of all personnel.
This is because the security forces from the start have held a Tactical Floor Game (TFG) to map out all forms of problems that could occur and disrupt this international event.
It didn’t end there, but the security forces also continued to maximize the role of the 91 Command Center which is the control of the security operations of the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
With the Command Center, it is also very easy to coordinate between personnel while on duty.
“So then, there can be interaction. Of course, this will make it easier for us to get an idea of the conditions where the member is assigned,” he said.
“Because indeed there can be a two-way dialogue. Members can report existing problem situations and from the Command Center can give directions and orders,” said Sigit.
