Bending Bhayangkara Precision, STIN BIN Managed to Top the Standings with a Dramatic Victory
The Jakarta men’s volleyball team STIN BIN won a dramatic victory over Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi in the first series of the 2023 PLN Mobile Proliga final at GOR Tri Dharma Petrokimia Gresik, East Java, Thursday night.
Jasen Nathanael and his friends had to fight up to five sets to win with a tight score of 3-2 (23-25, 25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 17-15).
With this victory, Farhan Halim and friends rose to first place in the standings.
Assistant coach for Jakarta STIN BIN Agus Jumaedi said that his team’s victory was luck. Moreover, there was tension due to the substitution of middle blockers in the fourth set. Isac Viana Santos was replaced by Ujang Nandar.
“Thank God, this is clear luck, but indeed the mistake was there, so when the replacement of Isac and Ujang was finally tense, attacking was rather difficult, that’s what happened, but still luck because of Allah,” said Agus in a written statement, Friday (24/2/ 2023).
Apart from weakening during substitutions, STIB BIN’s mistakes were also seen when pressured by the opponent’s serve. But with high self-confidence, continued Agus, STIN BIN was able to rise in the fifth set.
“The opponent’s service pressure, if the passing is not good, they end up playing second ball. Well, that’s from a weak first ball. If the passing is good, it will be easy to make other moves,” said Agus.
The captain of the STIN BIN team, Farhan Halim, expressed a similar sentiment. According to him, his team mates had too much enthusiasm in the early sets so they experienced a few problems in the final set.

As is known, Jakarta STIN BIN is a team formed by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) through the BIN Sports Association or Porbin.
This success shows the success of the training carried out by Porbin on his athletes so that they are able to compete with the top Proliga 2023 teams.
