Fully Support ASEAN Summit 2023, West Manggarai Communities Protect Security and Order Together

In order to fully support the success and smooth running of the 2023 ASEAN Summit, all people in West Manggarai Regency together have a very strong commitment to be able to continue to maintain public security and order.
Chairman of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Research Institute for Community Democracy (LPPDM), Marsel Nagus Ahang continues to invite all stakeholders and also all elements of society to work together to create a conducive situation.
Of course, this conducive situation is very important because soon Indonesia will have special guests from all heads of state as well as high-ranking officials and elites from countries across the ASEAN region to gather and discuss future plans in Labuan Bajo, District West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT).
It is known that the implementation of the 42nd ASEAN Summit in 2023 will indeed be chaired by Indonesia, which will also host the international event which will be held from 9 to 11 May 2023.
Therefore, with this very important celebration being held in West Manggarai Regency, it cannot be denied that the entire local community should be able to continue to maintain the security situation and public order, so that it can continue to run safely, peacefully and conducively.
Communities throughout West Manggarai themselves are already very enthusiastic about waiting for the arrival of guest delegations from friendly countries, and they are also very enthusiastic about being able to participate in the success of the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
In fact, it is not half-hearted that all elements of society in West Manggarai Regency also have a very strong commitment to participate in the successful implementation of the ASEAN Summit. One of the manifestations of the community’s strong commitment is the establishment of a Community Organization (Ormas) called the United West Manggarai Youth (PMBB) on May 4, 2023.
It is known that the organization now has as many as 100 members. The large number of members from PMBB, even though it has just been formed, has actually also proven that indeed the people in West Manggarai, especially the youth, have such great enthusiasm for the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
During its formation, it was discovered that the United West Manggarai Youth Community Organization (Ormas), which was chaired by Robertus Agustinus Taufan, gave a firm stance and statement as the direction and also the vision and mission of PMBB.
Indeed, broadly speaking the youth organization in West Manggarai itself was formed by the community to fully support the successful implementation of the 2023 ASEAN Summit which was held in Labuan Bajo and Tana Mori as venues.
In the first point, PMBB itself stated that they would continue to be loyal to the basic philosophy of this nation, namely Pancasila and would continue to be loyal to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Then on the second point, the United West Manggarai Youth Organization confirmed that they were very ready to fully support the West Manggarai Regional Government (Pemda), especially in maintaining public security and order (kamtibmas) in Labuan Bajo, of course.
Furthermore, PMBB itself will also continue to maintain the self-confidence, dignity and self-esteem of all people in West Manggarai. Of course, with the creation of a conducive kamtibmas, it will automatically maintain the good name of the local area, especially when they are being visited by guests from the delegates participating in the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
So that people who are representatives of a region must really be able to continue to maintain and realize good community order and security so that it creates a positive impression or image in the eyes of the world when assessing Indonesia as Chair of ASEAN 2023.
Furthermore, with the efforts to continue to realize good community and orderliness, it is also in line with the other objectives of PMBB, which is to continue to create a sense of security and comfort for the people in West Manggarai Regency.
Not only in the security and public order sector, but the West Manggarai Bersatu Youth Organization also continues to focus on being able to educate and improve all the capabilities possessed by the people in their area, by continuing to maintain and develop local wisdom to protect every party, be it immigrants or those who are natives there.
Also, the Ormas led by Robertus Agustinus Taufan will also continue to defend and fight for recognition, respect, protection and fulfillment of the rights possessed by people in West Manggarai in particular, by prioritizing humane and dignified ways of course.
The aspect of security and public order is indeed a very important thing to continue to realize together through the active role of various parties in the community. In particular, in holding the ASEAN Summit 2023 which will be held in Labuan Bajo from 9 to 11 May 2023 which really needs the full support of many parties.
