Jakarta – The government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) emphasized that all facilities and infrastructure for the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo are ready for use.

In this regard, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that currently his party is just tidying up the plants because various infrastructures are ready.

“It’s ready, it’s just for today to finish the plants. If the infrastructure is all ready,” he said

According to the Minister of Public Works and Housing, his party has carried out infrastructure and supporting facilities for the 42nd ASEAN Summit quite well.

This is because he continues to instruct all construction work, both in Labuan Bajo and Tana Mori, to be carried out with the best method and quality.

Not only that, Minister Basuki also asked workers not to play around in building supporting infrastructure for the 2023 ASEAN Summit because the quality of work must be the number one priority, especially in road infrastructure.

In the same vein, PUPR Ministry spokesperson Endra S. Atmawidjaja said that his party had also prepared all the infrastructure that would indeed be used for the benefit of the big event, such as venues, buildings, including supporting facilities such as the command headquarters for security personnel.

“Then for the venues, such as Puncak Waringin, the marina, we have prepared all the access roads,” he said.

Previously, President Jokowi assessed that a number of venues for the ASEAN Summit in West Manggarai all seemed ready for the 42nd ASEAN Summit.

“We want to ensure preparations for the ASEAN Summit in May. I see several venues are all ready. It’s just a little touch, but the most important thing is that later we also want to promote Labuan Bajo as a super priority destination,” said the head of state.
