Heaven of Labuan Bajo Enthusiastically Welcomes Indonesia’s Chairmanship at the 2023 ASEAN Summit

NTT – Labuan Bajo, a tourist destination famous for its beautiful beaches and under the sea, is enthusiastic about welcoming Indonesia’s chairmanship at the 2023 ASEAN Summit. Various preparations have been made to ensure that this summit runs smoothly and successfully in this area which is often referred to as a paradise in Eastern Indonesia .

Head of the PPI Ditdal Telecommunication Monitoring Center Team, Indra Apriadi explained that 4G and 5G networks have been covered in Labuan Bajo. For 4G in residential areas it has covered more than 94 percent.

“Regarding 4G cellular services, it is 94.51 percent and at several points there is already a 5G signal,” said Indra.

Apart from that, continued Indra, Kominfo also provided support related to communication infrastructure. For Laboan Bajo, there are 4 cellular operators who will provide all telecommunications needs.

“As many as 1635 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) have been prepared to ensure that there are no problems in terms of telecommunications during the event,” he said.

Deputy Regent of West Manggarai, dr. Yulianus Weng, M.Kes, also revealed that his party fully supports the implementation of the ASEAN Summit by inviting students to participate in maintaining security and public order in their respective environments, both in the neighborhood where they live, work and in the school environment.

According to him, the positive impact of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo is also of economic value, namely the guests of the delegation spend their money, both to buy food and to pay for lodging.

“In addition to maintaining security and order as well as environmental cleanliness, the people of West Manggarai Regency also prioritize hospitality in welcoming every guest who comes,” he said.

As hosts, residents of West Manggarai in general and Labuan Bajo in particular, are enthusiastic about Indonesia’s chairmanship of the 2023 ASEAN Summit as a form of active participation in the successful implementation of the 2023 ASEAN Summit or ASEAN SUMMIT 2023.

In 2023, this will be the fifth time that Indonesia has been lined up to hold ASEAN Chair, with the theme “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth” which means that Indonesia wants to make ASEAN remain important and relevant to the ASEAN community and the world.

This is because, Indonesia wants to bring ASEAN into an area that has an important role for regional countries and the world.
