According to him, all West Manggarai people were also very ready to welcome the delegates.

The reason is, indeed the people themselves are also used to tourism so they are used to welcoming guests from various countries.

Furthermore, Mikael also expressed his gratitude to the Government of Indonesia for paying great attention to West Manggarai with the many developments being carried out.

“The people of West Manggarai are used to tourism and are ready to receive guests who come from various countries. Thank you government for really paying attention to West Manggarai,” he said.

He added that the 2023 ASEAN Summit had a huge impact on supporting infrastructure development in the West Manggarai region.

Not only bringing increased infrastructure development, but the 2023 ASEAN Summit will also increase regional income and the people’s economy.

This is due to the large number of visits and an increase in guests, even from various countries in the ASEAN region to come to West Manggarai.

Mikael then hopes that all West Manggarai people can have the same understanding to support all preparations for this international event.

This also includes so that the whole community can better maintain their attitude based on the provisions of cultural customs in West Manggarai in receiving all delegates from the 2023 ASEAN Summit.

In a similar vein, support for all the preparations for the ASEAN Summit also came from Tu’a Gendang (head of the traditional house) of the Terlating Indigenous Peoples, Hendrikus Jempo.

He also invited the public to support and jointly welcome the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
