MPW Pancasila Youth NTT Urges Society to Maintain Conducive Atmosphere for the Success of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo
NTT – Regional peace and stability are important aspects in the cooperative relations of ASEAN member countries, as well as with partner countries. Therefore, strengthening the capacity and effectiveness of ASEAN institutions is one of the issues highlighted by the Pancasila Youth community organization through Vice Chair 1 of the East Nusa Tenggara Pancasila Youth Regional Consultative Assembly Loresten Koeslulat who said that ASEAN must become a barometer area for the international world.
“The role of ASEAN’s existence in maintaining the stability of peace in the ASEAN region and the center of the world economy,” said Loresten.
Loresten added that as the host of the 2023 ASEAN Summit, the Government of Indonesia must have made long and thorough preparations, so the community should jointly support and succeed in the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
“After a long and thorough preparation, we hope that [the success of] the 2023 ASEAN Summit will be repeated like the G20, later when the ASEAN Summit will also get satisfactory results,” he added.
He appealed to the people of NTT in particular to participate in creating a conducive atmosphere so that the Asean Summit could be held properly.
It is known that at the 42nd ASEAN Summit which will be held on 9-11 May 2023 in Labuan Bajo, ASEAN Leaders will discuss a number of important issues in order to encourage a stronger ASEAN region in facing challenges, and strengthen ASEAN’s economic resilience. This effort is in line with the theme carried out in the Indonesian Chairperson of ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth.
