Dispute the border of Central Kalimantan Province & East Kalimantan Province

CIDISS – The problem in border between Central and East Kalimantan, located in Benangin village, Teweh Tengah district, Barito Utara regency, is warmer. The dispute to the polemic about the border ever stuck and cornering the East Kalimantan province as province which take over the area of Central Kalimantan province.

Government of Central Kalimantan is optimist and pretty sure that the party will win in this border dispute. Darliansyah, head of government section in Regional Secretary Central Kalimantan, said that the party has evident and regulation.

The party, Darli said refer to Decision of Minister of Home Affairs No 185.5 – 486 dates on 25 May 1989 about the line border between East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan Province.

Head of National Land Authority Central Kalimantan, Ida Aniyati Frans explain that the dispute border among provinces should follow the Minister of Home Affairs. After that, the problem of dispute border will be clear and each party should obey and respect to border line which is made by Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ida added, her party in public service about land maps, she always refers to maps and line border made by Ministry of Home Affairs.

Many parties give support to finish the dispute of border. One of them is Indonesian Youth National Committee Central Kalimantan, push government to finish the border.

In the near future, Ministry of Home Affairs will mediate the East and Central Kalimantan province to finish the border dispute about line border. As the information, both governments will together visit the line border in Benangin village, Teweh Tengah district, Barito Utara regency.
