FPI Account Blocking Already In Accordance with the Rules

A total of 92 accounts belonging to FPI were frozen by PPATK. These accounts belong to FPI management, including Rizieq Shihab and his family. They cannot protest because the blocking of this account is legal and in accordance with the existing laws in Indonesia.
After FPI was dissolved, their accounts were frozen by PPATK. The account does not only belong to Rizieq Shihab and his family, but also to FPI management Munarman. This block is temporary, so they shouldn’t panic and blame the government.
The reason for the account blocking was that there was a suspicion of terrorism. In addition, when an organization is declared banned, its account is automatically frozen. Because if the account is left alone, it is feared that it will be used to create a new mass organization with a different name but with the same vision. So that they are afraid that they will guerrilla again and disturb the community.
PPATK froze the accounts of FPI and its affiliates because they referred to Law number 8 of 2010 concerning the prevention and eradication of the crime of money laundering. Another legal basis is Law number 9 of 2013 concerning the prevention and eradication of criminal acts of terrorism.
If there are 2 articles which become the legal basis, then FPI can no longer protest. Because they have to comply with the law, because they are still Indonesian citizens. Especially during the investigation, it was found that transfers from overseas accounts. So that it is even more suspicious, is it true that FPI is affiliated with ISIS?
Is it true that they sent financial assistance so that Indonesia could be transformed into a khilafiyah country? Moreover, Rizieq Shihab was once caught making a speech and expressed his support for ISIS. Dozens of FPI members are also involved in terrorism cases, so this allegation is getting closer to the truth.
Bareskrim Polri conveyed the results of the case title in public. Karo Penmas, the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, stated that the title of the case was carried out by bringing in PPATK and Special Detachment 88. They were involved because the Police wanted to see all the possibilities associated with transactions from the FPI organization’s account.
Brigadier General Rusdi continued, 92 FPI accounts that were frozen were in 18 different banks. Then there will be a follow-up to see whether there was a criminal act related to the flow of funds in FPI’s accounts. In a sense, this case is upgraded from investigation to investigation.
When there is a case title, the perception of the police, Detachment 88, and PPATK will be equated. So there will be no misunderstanding, because the three parties are working together to investigate this case completely. So that the community understands who is the FPI funder and becomes the real mastermind.
FPI also cannot protest and do anything about it. The former FPI administrator, Munarman, became angry and admitted that his personal account could not be accessed. But actually he shouldn’t panic, because this suspension is only temporary, aka a maximum of 90 days. So that if it is not proven suspicious, he can access his account again.
FPI must comply and surrender when its account is frozen, because it is in accordance with the rules and there is a legal umbrella. They cannot accuse the government of wrongdoing, because it is not only the FPI whose accounts are blocked. If there is a case with another Indonesian citizen, the account could also be blocked. Because it is in accordance with existing laws in Indonesia.
The blocking of FPI’s accounts was carried out to prevent the reincarnation of these mass organizations, so that they could not be guerrilla and make people feel confused. They were no longer active when their accounts were frozen, because they could no longer receive funds from foreign donors. The community is waiting for an official release from the police, who is actually the funder of the FPI, so they know who the real perpetrators of the riots in Indonesia are.
