The Other Side of 2015 Asia-Africa Conference in Bandung

Indonesia as the host of the 60th Asian-African Conference Commemoeration (AACC) successfully made the historic event as a venue for its cultural wealth introduces. The meeting between the nations of Asia and Africa, held on April 19 to 24, not only to discuss bilateral cooperation between South-South Countries, but also presented a number of interesting trinkets, ranging from agate, batik, until ‘Charlie Chaplin’ embellished the giant event.
Lady Iriana for instance, on Wednesday (22/4) introducing batik and traditional Indonesian fabrics on display at the Textile Museum which is located in Central Jakarta. The agate trend was also penetrated the tenth annual anniversary Agate stone from Baturaja, South Sumatra, serve as the official souvenir for the heads of states participants of AACC, while agate Panca Warna from Garut, West Java, become a gift for first ladies. Furthermore, the figure of “Charlie Chaplin” showed up in the midst of preparation for summit conference at the Merdeka Building and mingled with the people who came to the location.
Meanwhile, the creations of Indonesian inventors were also exhibited in this huge event, one of which was the sound system V8sound.com, loudspeakers that were used in the the conference, created by Harry Kiss. V8sound.com was used in 17 locations, 12 important meetings at JCC, 3 of which were held at the Parliament Building, and 5 locations in Gedung Merdeka Bandung. It was also utilised at the Savoy Homann Hotel, Ibis Hotel and the Majestic Hotel Bandung.
Indonesia should be proud of the success of AACC 2015 which has also proved to the world that Indonesia remains a country that can not be underestimated and plays an important role in Asia and Africa.
“The conference that we have successfully held is one of the largest inter-governmental forum in the world outside the United Nations, which was attended by the countries of Asia and Africa and some observers,” said the President Joko Widodo praising the forum.
