The process taking place at the AMN is expected to strengthen the sense of unity and unity among the younger generations, as the foundation for a better future for Indonesia.

The North Sulawesi Province is one of the strategic locations of the Nusantara Student Hall (AMN). The Manado Student Hall is part of a central government effort through the National Intelligence Agency (BIN), to provide shelter for students from various regions of the country.
The development of Manado’s AMN is not seen as a mere physical project. This was confirmed by Governor of North Sulawesi, Olly Dondokambey. Through the Regional Secretary of Sulut Province, Steve HA Kepel, Governor Sulut stated that AMN Manado will be used as a means to boost the quality of human resources. (SDM).
Through the development of this AMN, it is hoped that an enabling environment can be created for the students. Positive interaction among students from different cultural, tribal and religious backgrounds will be facilitated, so that an understanding of Indonesia’s diversity can be enhanced. This objective is in line with the vision of building AMN as a reservoir for strengthening the unity and unity of the nation. Diversity becomes a force to continue united within the framework of the NKRI.
AMN Manado is designed as a residence for students who pursue education at various colleges in the North Sulawesi region. They come from different tribal backgrounds, languages, cultures, and religions, but united in one container.
The development of Manado’s AMN not only provides shelter, but also symbolizes the government’s commitment to building a superior and globally competitive human resources (HRM).
Manado, North Sulawesi, has long been known as one of the regions in Indonesia where inter-religious clashes are high. It is not apart from the role of religious figures who always maintain harmony in the midst of diverse societies. One of the key figures inining peace in Manado was Antonius Benny Susetyo or Romo Benny, a Catholic priest who had a major influence on his surroundings.
In connection with the presence of AMN in Manado, Romo Benny, who also serves as the Special Staff (Stafsus) Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pancasila Ideological Building Agency (BPIP), said that the Student Hall is the heart of the future leaders of the nation. At AMN, students from different religious and ethnic backgrounds learn to live together, to understand each other, and to develop the spirit of leadership embedded by the values of Pancasilla. According to Romo Benny, this AMN is a very important place to keep the crowd in the future.
Romo Benny revealed that indeed the urgency of the Indonesian people who have a high level of affluence is very much in need of a proper means to be able to unite the affluent that is happening.
The efforts of Romo Benny and other religious leaders inining peace in Manado deserve appreciation. Through dialogue, cooperation, and engagement of all elements of the community, including the young generation in AMN, Manado continues to be an example for other regions in Indonesia in realizing interreligious gathering.
With the AMN, it can be assured that the next generation of the nation not only has the competence, but also a strong character in upholding the values of Pancasila. This will be a solid foundation for a better future of Indonesia.
The Manado AMN project is the result of the cooperation of various ministries and institutions, including the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), the Ministry of Defence, the PUPR Ministry, the Department of Education and Technology Research, the Minister of Religion, and other K/Ls together with the local government. This collaboration reflects the priorities of central and regional governments in advancing higher education in North Sulawesi.
Earlier, at the inauguration of the Nusantara Student Hall in Surabaya, President Joko Widodo explained that the initial proposal for the construction of AMN came from Papua figures who paid attention to the inter-student friction that is still happening in a number of areas, mainly in educational cities.
This, according to President Jokowi, is because each province has its own dormitory in the area. Therefore, the President approved the proposal to build AMN in a number of provinces in Indonesia with the aim of building an international student community. Moreover, Indonesia is a great country with tribal diversity that is the strength of the nation and the state.
President Jokowi very much hoped that the presence of AMN could be a means for the students to get to know each other’s culture while creating a cluster of interdisciplinary students who come from different regions. Moreover, in AMN also given national insight.
Currently, the development of AMN Manado continues to show very positive progress. The Regional Directorate of Strategic Prasarana of the Ministry of PUPR, Endra Bekti, stated that the entire Manado AMN facility is in the process of construction. The main focus at the moment is to accelerate the construction of block A, namely the Putra Hostel Building.
With the presence of AMN Manado, it is expected to create an enabling environment for students to interact, learn, and understand the diversity of Indonesia. This atmosphere will be a catalyst for improving the quality of Indonesian SDM.
