CIDISS – Vice President (Wapres) Jusuf Kalla (JK) visited Palangka Raya, Province of Central Kalimantan on Wednesday (26/4/2017). In his arrival, the Vice president is welcomed directly by Vice Governor Kalteng, Habib Said and the Board of the indigenous Dayak in Tjilik Riwut Airport of Palangkaraya.
The Vice president was greeted with a welcoming ceremony of Dayak and Kahanjak Atei dance from Marajak Studio. And then it continued by procession of stepped on an egg, potong pantan (cut a pantan which is made from wood), folding the fabric starting the left side and then right simultaneously toward the middle.
In his visited, the Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) was awarded the title for indigenous of Dayak. Indigenous Dayak title is given by the Chairman of the Board of the indigenous Dayak (DAD) Kalteng, Agustiar Sabran while in Palangkaraya Tjilik Riwut Airport.
In awarding the title, it is symbolized by the wear of leather vests, hats custom, mandau, and given the indigenous Dayak Council Decree of indigenous title to the Vice president.
The title is given as stated in the decision decree letter of the Board of the indigenous Dayak number 14/DAD-KTG/KPTS/IV/2017 i.e. the title is Raja (king) Marunting Batu Pangumbang Langit, Teras Rangkang Duhuna Pasihai, Rujin Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. The title means a leader who is able to lift the dignity of the nation. Sturdy and strong keep the unity and oneness as an example of a nation and a country in life role model.
For information, Vice president JK visited Palangkaraya to attend the national working meeting (Rakernas) Board of the Cooperation of the private Islamic College (BKS PTIS) and International Workshops and seminars at the University of Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya.
