The Covid-19 pandemic devastated the economy and many factories closed, eventually unemployment increased. Grateful, there is now a pre-work card program which is an innovation from the government. People who lose their jobs get a pre-employment card and experience many benefits.
Corona not only makes the human body sick, but also makes the economy sick. The community chose to buy basic necessities such as rice, oil and other groceries, because they were frugality during the pandemic. Other items such as clothes, shoes, perfume, and even side dishes such as chicken meat are no longer often consumed, because of decreased purchasing power. In effect, many factories and restaurants are closed and eventually new unemployment will emerge in Indonesia.
The unemployed are certainly increasingly restless. After losing their jobs, they were confused about how to make money, because on average they were not given severance to start a new business. Want to apply but there are no new vacancies . Want to do business need capital. But this anxiety can disappear after a pre-work card.
The pre-employment card is a program promised by President Joko Widodo from the very beginning he campaigned. This program just started in early April 2020 and opened 2 years for registration. Since it was opened, the enthusiasm of the public was booming, even the official website of the pre-work card to get the registration form was down the server. The reason is that the website is opened simultaneously by many netiz en. In total there are 8 million Indonesians who register pre-work cards.
The benefits of pre-employment cards are very much expected by the community, because they will get cash assistance of 2,400,000 rupiah which will be transferred in several stages. But what is most important is the skills taught to pre-work card holders. They will get new skills and can choose, in the fields of language, beauty, information technology, and others.
There are several companies that work together and are appointed to provide material by the government. Among them Pintaria and Tokopedia. W orkshop can also be done online , so it would be safe from the risk of transmission of the corona, also obey the rules of stay at home and PSBB.
The skills that will be acquired by pre-work card owners will be an important asset for entrepreneurship. So the unemployed will not be confused where to look for work, but can open a new business. For example, those who have passed beauty training can be bridal makeup or makeup artists .
Pre-employment cards are certainly very useful in the midst of the co-19 pandemic. In the midst of an unstable economic period, there is fresh air from the government. The appearance of this card is clear evidence of how the president and all his staff pay attention to the fate of his people . All levels of society to the bottom are thought of by them.
Overcoming high unemployment is indeed the focus of the government, because in reality there are so many people who don’t have jobs. Even though they have a Bachelor’s degree, but they haven’t worked for years. Want to do business but still lack experience and no big capital. Especially when there was a Covid-19 pandemic, the number of unemployed increased and they were confused about how to make a living that is lawful for the family.
With a pre-employment card, it is expected that the number of unemployed will be drastically reduced, and those who lose their jobs in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic will be able to breathe with relief. They will get an allowance just for the cost of gasoline and buy barrels. But the most important is the skills taught in training, which are used as the main capital in doing business. When they already have the skills , they can become entrepreneurs and work with enthusiasm, and can even add employees. Means to reduce unemployment in this country.
