The public appreciates the Government’s efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia. With the government’s firmness in eradicating corruption, these crimes can be prevented.

Corruption seems to be a deep-rooted tradition in society. It is as if a person is not corrupt then he will fall into poverty because he does not have enough income for 1 month. In fact, he is the one who loses because he can be threatened with punishment, and the state also loses because his money is taken secretly.

The government is trying hard to eradicate corruption so as not to harm the country. The reason is, if the corruptors are left alone, it will be very dangerous. For example, when there is a school construction project and the budget is corrupted by unscrupulous persons, they only use cheap grade materials, and the building is finished but eventually breaks down quickly. If one collapses, it endangers the lives of the disciples.

The State Civil Service Agency (BKN) cooperates with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to rid civil servants of corruption. If there are officials involved in extortion or bribery cases, they are transferred to other areas or even fired when the case is very serious. Likewise with other ASN. They can receive sanctions in the form of a strong reprimand, postponement of promotion, to dishonorable dismissal.

The public appreciates the government’s seriousness in eradicating corruption because it means that state money can be saved and people’s lives will be more prosperous. When corruptors are eradicated, Indonesia can be just and prosperous. Corrupts should not be given a place in this country because their fraud can harm the people.

The tie rats do not dare to repeat their actions because they are threatened with a sentence of 4 to 20 years in prison, even life if those who are corrupted are more than 100 billion rupiah. There is also a discourse on the death penalty for heavy class corruptors, although it has not been implemented. However, the threat of severe punishment is expected to have a deterrent effect so that other employees will not imitate it.

To prevent corruption, the government has various mainstays. First, by selecting employees strictly and honestly. When the CPNS test is seen not only the value of the results of the math and science exams but also the psyche. Psychological tests are very important to read characters, so that ASN candidates do not have a greedy nature and want corruption.

The second way to eradicate corruption is to collect data online. Director of the Research Development Program for the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas) Hetoro Cahyono stated that the government is building an online data center so that it can eliminate corruption in social assistance funds (Bansos). This is a strategy to eliminate corruption during a pandemic.

In the online database, all data of Indonesian citizens are recorded, such as name, population identification number (NIK), last address, and others. If the data is clear and online, then there will be no employee who dares to be corrupt because it can be checked, whether he received the social assistance in full or was circumcised. The online system is carried out so that it can be integrated throughout Indonesia.

All efforts made by the government in eradicating corruption are very reasonable because the country should not be damaged because of corruptors. We must reflect on the destruction of the VOC due to corruption and should not enter the same hole.

Corruption must be eradicated so as not to harm, because they steal state money at will. The government is trying hard to eradicate corruption to its roots in various ways. The public appreciates the government’s steps in cleaning up corruptors so that this country becomes more prosperous.
