Bank BJB Continues to Promote Saving to Students from Early

Because there are still many Indonesian children who have not been able to continue to the college level after they graduate from senior high school education, the high cost of education is the main factor that becomes a problem so it is not affordable for people in the lower circle.

The Central Bureau of Statistics/ Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) noted in 2015, the savings to GDP ratio was only 34.8 percent. This figure is still smaller compared to Singapore and China which reached 49 percent or Philippines by 46 percent, whereas Indonesia has a very large population, that number should be one of the strengths for the national financial services industry in increasing the ratio of the portion of savings.

In response to these facts the Financial Services Authority/ Otorisasi Jasa Keuangan (OJK) then initiated a national program of Student Savings / Simpanan Pelajar (SIMPEL) savings in 2015, aiming to build a culture of saving from an early age.

Bank BJB then present as one of the first Bank to present and support the savings program early on, with this SIMPEL Savings Bank BJB continues to socialize that it is important to save money early to address the cost of education to the next level of education, making saving activities not just obligations but the needs and lifestyle.
