Until now, the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua continues to be matured. After being delayed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak, PON will be held on October 2, 2021. Although it was delayed for a year, this activity is highly anticipated by the community.
PON 2021 Papua which carries the tagline “Torang Can” is a form of special Papuan encouragement. The implementation of the XX PON in 2021 which will take place in Papua will be held in 4 regions, namely the city of Jayapura, Jayapura Regency, Merauke Regency and Mimika Regency. The continuation of this event will show the progress of Papua’s development.
The amount of confusing information that is spread in the media has made some people confused about access to information about the truth of the news about PON XX Papua. Historically, PON has been an event that has been awaited by the public, so it is only natural for people to find out about its implementation.
With many preparations that exist, the public is asked not to spread misinformation about this XX PON. The public must be able to fight hoaxes and provocative content about the XX PON in 2021 in order to build national optimism. Being responsible for disseminating information on social media is also a form of loving the country.
The Indonesian people must be adept at checking the source of the validity of news about PON XX in 2021, so as not to cause disunity by provocations on social media. Being a developed nation means being able to differentiate between right and wrong, especially for one’s own country. Foster a sense of concern for the progress of the Indonesian nation.

In addition, the existence of PON is also a place for the nation’s children to leapfrog in showing achievements for Indonesia so that they can excel in the international arena and can bring red and white to the highest podium.

In addition, the public must always access information about PON XX carefully or from trusted sources in order to realize the nation’s optimism towards an advanced Indonesia.
