Religious preachers are a source of coolness for the people. Therefore, people must have the courage to protest if there are religious preachers who like to berate and divide religious communities.

Police Criminal Investigation investigators have arrested lecturer Jafar Shodik Alttas at his residence in Depok, West Java. This was justified by the Head of the Police Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono at the National Police Headquarters. Jafar was arrested because the lecture recorded on the video contained words of contempt (Vice President) Ma’ruf Amin.

Responding to this, the deputy Minister of Religion (Wamenag) RI Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi, asked the public to be brave and firmly rebuke the lecturers when delivering or spreading hate speech when preaching.

In addition he also said that the community must also dare to reprimand and remind every lecturer who spread hatred, slander and fighting sheep.

He said, so far the community tends to be permissive towards such lecturers. In fact, these actions clearly cause polemic and can divide unity.

Furthermore, Zainut also said that if people continue to let the preachers deliberately and openly express their hate speech, it is the same as allowing the divisions that occur among the nation’s people.

For this diversity of Indonesia, of course we need soothing lectures, not necessarily lectures that invite hatred.

The National Police upholds it has carried out a professional legal process in the Lecture case.

Karo Penmas Police Public Relations Division. Argo Yuwono said that the police had provided enough evidence to convict Jafar Shodiq. He also mentioned that the evidence was in the form of videos or police reports.

Previously, in the video that was told, there was a video that was not widely circulated on social media. Jafar originally spoke of a history in the time of the Prophet Musa (as). Jafar also said there was someone who studied religion, but that knowledge was used to pursue world affairs. For that, according to Jafar, Allah SWT makes that person a pig.

Jafar said the Prophet Musa was shocked by this and prayed to Allah to return the pig to be a man. It was only Jafar alluding to paid ustaz in the current era. He also asked the congregation about the figure of Ma’ruf Amin.

With a loud voice he also makes an analogy more or less like this, “So if there is a era of paid ustaz, there is a targert cleric who at the time of the Prophet Muhammadiyah SAW,” life in the time of the Prophet Musa AS had changed into a pig.

He also interacted with the congregation, meaning what are the paid clerics? (pilgrims answer pigs). Then when he mentioned the name of Ma’ruf Amin, didn’t he? It is precisely the cry of worshipers screaming pigs.

A number of parties considered that the contents of the lecture or speech were disrespectful and violated Article 238 paragraph 1 of the RKHUHP on insulting the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Previously, Minister of Religion (Menag) Fachrul Razi reminded that religious preachers do not fool and provoke the community, because it will only lead to national and state divisions.

He also appealed to the ustazd to become preachers who soothe all people. Farul also said that Indonesia is a country with a diversity of religious communities. Such diversity must certainly be maintained.

Therefore, he invited the lecturers to deliver religious lecture material with peace and avoid provocative delivery.

The retired Army General stated, if there is a religious preacher who in the lecture leads to provocation will be reminded.

If it is still provocative, he said he would call him and be given guidance. However, if it still does not make changes, of course there will be legal rules imposed.

On different occasions, Fachrul Razi did not deny that there were still a handful of religious teachers who delivered interpretations of the Koran that were prone to cause divisions.

Fachrul also said that the religious teacher could only be affected by the article if he broadcast lectures and caused divisions and instigators, such as insulting the religion of different people, but also intolerance.

In carrying out his duties as Minister of Religion, it seems that Fahrul Razi has shown his commitment to eradicating radicalism.

We need extra vigilance to be aware of Lecturers whose material can divide people. Because Indonesia has a variety of cultural uniqueness ,.
