Indonesian Police Headquarter’s bomb squad are examining an object suspected to be a bomb and exploded near a toilet inside ITC Depok’s shopping center on Monday. Police lines have been installed in the area.
Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police Department Sr.Comm. Martinus Sitompul said the bomb squad discovered a bottle containing suspicious chemical fluid and that it is still currently being investigated.
The investigation will also reveal whether or not the fluid could cause the blast. Several components that could possibly trigger the bomb was also discovered inside the box. “Such as a detonator, timer, battery and cables,” Martinus said.
Temporarily investigation showed that the bomb is categorized under low explosive. “Because the blast was small and the box containing the detenator was not damaged,” he said.
