The government guarantees that the distribution of vaccines ahead of Christmas and New Year (Nataru) will continue. The acceleration of vaccine distribution to various regions is expected to support the smooth running of the National Covid-19 vaccination program.

How is the pandemic in Indonesia? There is good news when the curve of Covid patients is sloping and the number of people infected is only around 500 per day. However, we must not be careless and must maintain health protocols, as well as mandatory vaccinations so that the body’s immunity increases and does not get Corona. Moreover, vaccines are easier to obtain because many are administering them.

At the end of the year there is a Nataru holiday and there is also an odd-even arrangement of vehicles on the road. However, the public need not worry, because the mobility adjustment during Nataru will not hinder the distribution of vaccinations. The reason is, what is brought is the most important item, so it will be prioritized on the trip.

It is impossible for the officers to stop the box or container car if the vehicle is carrying vaccines. During the Nataru holiday, the security on the streets is indeed tightened, to prevent mass mobility and the formation of a new Corona cluster. However, there are definitely exceptions for vehicles carrying vaccines and priority is given.

Bambang Heriyanto, company secretary and spokesperson for Corona Bio Farma stated that the government and Bio Farma never tire of distributing Corona vaccines throughout Indonesia. In a sense, even though there is a Nataru holiday, vaccine delivery will continue.

Bambang continued, more than 272 million vaccines have been distributed, starting from January to December 2021. In details, there are CoronaVac, Bio Farma, Moderna, AstraZaneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, and Janssen vaccines. In a sense, if there are millions of vaccines distributed, it means that millions of people have received them, and the majority of Indonesian citizens have been vaccinated.

The types of vaccines that are distributed are indeed different, not only Sinovac as at the beginning of the vaccine discovery, because it is to speed up the completion of the national vaccination program. The target is indeed 3 million injections per day throughout Indonesia, so that this program can be completed in 12 months, as requested by President Jokowi.

Therefore, the distribution of vaccines is a factor that also determines the success of the national vaccination program. If the distribution is smooth, the vaccination will also run smoothly. Nothing can stop the distribution of vaccines, even during Nataru’s holiday. The reason is because the vaccine must be given as soon as possible to the community.

Vaccine distribution continues during the Nataru holiday because it is to accelerate the formation of herd immunity. If at least 75% of the population in an area has been injected with the vaccine, then group immunity will be formed, and it will be safe from Corona. Of course with the discipline of health protocols.

In delivering the vaccine, the driver and other parties understand the importance of vaccination. Therefore they didn’t complain that they couldn’t take a day off when Nataru was there. Their work is not only paid for, but carries an important mission to nourish the people of Indonesia.

People don’t have to worry that vaccine delivery will continue despite Nataru, and they still get their right to be injected. Vaccines will still be available and delivered throughout Indonesia. In fact, in the context of Nataru’s holiday, usually more and more parties hold vaccinations in public places, because they understand how important this injection is.

Vaccine distribution is important in the success of the national vaccination program. Don’t be afraid that the container box containing the vaccine ampoules will choke when it comes to Nataru’s holiday. The reason is because the vaccine will continue to be distributed to people throughout Indonesia, because getting a vaccine injection is the right of every Indonesian citizen.
