The government has designed 6 main points of national economic policy in 2020. The policy includes the development of Human Resources, infrastructure development, and simplification of regulations through the Omnibus Law which among them is targeting the Employment Creation Bill and the Taxation Bill.
First, in terms of HR development. The government is targeting 6 priority sectors namely agribusiness, manufacturing, tourism, migrant workers, health workers, and the digital economy. Secondly, the government will introduce the Prakarsa card. This program is a vocational training aid for job seekers, active workers, workers affected by termination of employment.
Third, the government will encourage industrial relations with vocational education by providing tax incentives in the form of tax cuts of up to 200% of the costs incurred for vocational activities. Fourth, infrastructure development to encourage economic mobility. The government plans to immediately complete the National Strategic Project (PSN) and the development of Special Economic Zones (KEK). Furthermore, to encourage investment, the government will also impose fiscal incentives. This was done to reduce the CAD deficit, so as to grow the national economy. Fifth, as in previous years. The social security and assistance program will also be implemented this year. The program is carried out as a fast way to tackle poverty and income inequality. Sixth, issuing export-oriented policies to become a catalyst for growth in the industrial era 4.0. All government policies are expected to be able to advance Indonesia and improve the welfare of its people. However, community participation is needed so that the program runs as expected.
