The proclamator Bung Karno as well as the first President of the Republic of Indonesia gave birth to two legendary expressions of the “Red Jacket” (Never forget history) and also gave the expression “A great nation is a nation that respects the services of its heroes. What history does not should we forget it as the current generation? And which services of the heroes should the current generation respect?

We have just held a big democratic party event, both the presidential election and the legislative election and the party is now over, and in general the event takes place safely smoothly and conducively and hopefully it will arrive at the official announcement from the KPU later. However, after the democratic party there were several views in the midst of the community which signaled as if there were divisions among fellow children because of different choices and support, mutual mockery, mutual insults and mutual insults and made the value of the democratic party far from the word strengthening Indonesian unity.

The democratic party is really just a tool or mechanism to determine who is the best of the best sons and daughters of the mother to lead and preserve the journey of the Indonesian nation and whoever is elected is indeed what the people want and all should support each other for the sake of progress and unity in Indonesia . Why do we still have to unite ?? Let us recall our history from where we came from. We remember the establishment of Budi Utomo which was one of the important factors of our nation. The Indonesian nation could be independent because Budi Utomo, who was established on May 20, 1908, was the first national unity organization to stand on the ground. Indonesian water and became the forerunner to the establishment of other national unity organizations fighting for independence.

Furthermore, we have to recall the Youth Oath Congress which ignited the enthusiasm of the Indonesian Youth to fight for independence, which in the end Indonesian youths could join in Jong Java, Jong Sumatra Bond, Jong Celebes, etc. Two Sumpah Pemuda congresses, the first of which was in Batavia in 1926, resulted in a joint agreement on youth activities in terms of social, economic and cultural aspects. Several years later they also made the second Youth Pledge Congress held in Batavia on 28 October 1928 which produced the “Youth Oath”

The most important history that we also have to remember is the Proclamation of August 17, 1945 which was the first milestone of the founding of a sovereign state namely “Republic of Indonesia”. All the eyes of the world are on us on that day and witnessing and seeing the end result of a nation’s struggle for more than 350 years colonized finally gets the result of “Independence” and achieved by its own struggle with unity.

Now in fulfilling independence, not only because in the party of democracy we have different choices and support, finally our unity becomes threatened, we are no longer colonized but what is our opponent is ourselves. Without unity which has also been conceived and championed by our predecessors or our heroes, independence may be an impossibility for our nation, as well as currently a just, prosperous, developed and prosperous Indonesia becomes impossible if we are divided only because of differences in party choices democracy. For this reason, let us adults respond to the results of this election, not because they have not had the chance to win, they continue to provoke that can destroy and break our unity. Political leaders must be able to provide the best example to the community with maturity in constitutional democracy. Let’s Knit Back Unity After Election and Refuse Provocation That Breaks the Nation Into the Nation. Let us succeed in national development for Indonesia that is increasingly advanced.
