Political tension over the interests of the liberation of West Papua from Indonesia increased. United Liberation Movement For West Papua continuously make social movements in order to improve the international community’s attention to Papua. Recently, They have performed mourning ceremony and Free West Papua protest to multinational companies that are operating in Papua as partly responsible for the cases that occurred in Papua. According to them, the genocide and the illegal occupation of Papua continues to be done by the Government of Indonesia and has been funded by the company. In fact crimes considered by this group deviates from occurring in Papua today. It is apparent that there is enormous interest Papuan independence movement behind this.
Action carried out in various ways and emphasis on issues of genocide. Meanwhile, if we refer to the literal meaning, according to the Polish jurist Raphael Lemkin, genocide is a massive slaughter systematically against one tribe or group with the intent destroy the nation. Associated with the notion of genocide, the issues voiced by Papua’s Liberation Movement group, the massive slaughter that has been made by the Government of Indonesia to the indigenous people of Papua do not have real evidence. This group is lying to raise issues of common criminals or even utilize horizontal conflicts that occurred in Papua which is then published on into the crime of genocide. As well, the crimes committed by people who happen to be the original person Papua. Surely the police just doing his job to the standards established procedures (SOPs).
Until now, they still do actions to raise the issue of genocide to the attention of the World. Late last October, a ceremony of mourning and protest performed by United Liberation Movement in London against multinational companies which are operated in Papua. The company is accused by then because funding indonesian military for doing the genocide.
In addressing the many interests behind the liberation effort Papua, all Indonesian people must be involved in the political impulse withstand these interests. Accusing the government is tantamount all Indonesian people accused of a crime which was never done. Slander can be countered by pointing out that Papua is Indonesia. Show that all the Indonesian people respect the Papuans as the Indonesian nation, as brothers in arms, united in one to wealth and prosperity.
