The Capital Relocation Plan Is Expected to be Able to Boost Economic Growth

Urban Planning Observer, Nirwono Joga, said that the plan to relocate the National Capital to the North Penajam Paser region, East Kalimantan is expected to be able to boost economic growth in the region.

“Very important is the ideals of the development of the National Capital must become the ideals of all components of the nation,” Nirwono said in a discussion with the theme ‘Moving Capital, Form of Equitable Development and Economy’, in Jakarta, Tuesday (02/25/2020).

Therefore, said Nirwono with this enthusiasm, it was treated by the collaboration of all parties not only the government but the community, the private sector to jointly realize the plan to move the State Capital.

With this collaboration, he said, he was able to realize the new State Capital in accordance with four main requirements, namely being able to symbolize national identity, then sustainable development, the concept of urban planning that developed Smart City and illustrating local wisdom.

“With these prerequisites, we are sure that the new IKN in Kalimantan will not only be the center of government but also economic equality both nationally and globally,” he said. []
