It is feared that the national economy will experience a slowdown due to the Corona Virus or Covid-19 pandemic. The DPR was urged to immediately ratify the Omnibus Law on Employment Law which was expected to be able to anticipate the impact of Corona.

The Corona Virus outbreak is spreading again, raising concerns about the potential slowdown in the economy, not only in Indonesia but also in the world. Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Susiwijono said that as a result of Covid-19 or the corona virus, economic growth in China would decline. Some countries have also been affected if economic growth in China has decreased.

For example if the decline in economic growth in China by one percent, it will have an impact on Indonesia. It is estimated that Indonesia’s economic growth will drop 0.2 percent to 0.3 percent.

For this reason, the government is still monitoring the development of the Corona virus while preparing for anticipation. Anticipation is made by speeding up the ratification of the Cipta Karya Omnibus Law Bill. Not only that, the government also began to provide various assistance at the beginning of the year to anticipate bad things that would happen.

The impact of this virus will more or less affect the economy of the workers or laborers. Because of efforts to stay at home , forced most factories, trading businesses to MSMEs closed. And this is what causes workers to lose their income , even though not all . Omnibus of work copyright that contains specific articles for workers who have lost their jobs is considered very crucial. Because, in the Act written guarantee from the Social Security that will provide assistance for several months ahead.

However, if the Indonesian Parliament chooses to stop the hearing, the realization of this article is unlikely to be realized quickly. Nevertheless, the use of technology should be applied. Take for example President Jokowi who has conducted a virtual meeting with his staff. So, without face to face directly should have been able to do. Or, now also has many applications meeting with a total attendance of members live streaming up to 100 people.

Many people are currently waiting for this notoriously complicated regulatory policy to immediately overshadow them. Not to underestimate lives, but great hopes for the discussion of the Omnibus law this work is considered very urgent !

Workers are starting to feel anxious about their destiny going forward. Even though the impact of Corona is already so terrible, chaos occurs when people are unable to meet all needs, while guaranteeing aid is constrained by confusing rules.

This fact is further exacerbated by the unemployment rate of up to 7 million people which still has to be added by new workers each year by the number 2 million. Imagine the number 9 million people are also waiting for the wisdom of the country. Therefore, the government’s efforts to continue to urge the discussion of current work Omnibus law are considered appropriate. It’s not just one or two rules that make things easier. But there are many rules that will make a significant change.

Not denying, the chaotic situation caused by the COVID-19 virus was also felt by many parties. Indeed, it is not entirely a matter of laborers and workers. but, judging from their priority scale, it is now the priority. The economic turmoil that resulted in rising food prices and various needs was increasingly suffocating.

The realization of the Omnibus Law Cipta Karya is considered an ideal step that is able to boost the Indonesian economy, one of which is in terms of investment. Through the current government Omnibus Law, all forms of regulations which hinder or complicate investment will be facilitated.

The public needs to work together to fight against Covid-19 Pandemic. In addition to staying at home, support to participate in the success of the Omnibus Law Ciptaker can provide great enthusiasm in anticipating the impact of this disease outbreak, especially in the economic sector.
