Jayapura – The Papua Youth Creative Hub building was inaugurated by President Jokowi on Tuesday (21/3). It is hoped that the inauguration of the building with complete facilities will become a place for the development of various young Papuan talents to take advantage of all the opportunities that exist.
The inauguration ceremony for the PYCH Building was also attended by the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Plh. Papua Governor M. Ridwan Ruusukun, and PYCH representative, Simon Tabuni who is also a Papuan youth leader
In his remarks, President Jokowi expressed his pride and admiration after directly inspecting all the facilities at PYCH, as well as all the results of the work programs that have been carried out by PYCH youth in various sectors, such as fisheries, plantation agriculture, animal husbandry, education, entrepreneurship to health. .
Not only that, he felt that a forum for young talents needed to be built in other areas.
“This is the first in Indonesia in Papua, I ask that it also be built in NTT, in West Papua, then in Maluku and Aceh starting this year, so that it will be completed next year by imitating everything here, this is very good,” said Jokowi
Furthermore, the Head of State also appreciated the various products that have been produced by the young generation of Papua who are under the auspices of PYCH. These various products include the manufacture of cellphones, laptops, podcasts, music studios, photography, and a number of other creative industries.
The President added, Indonesia will face a demographic bonus, including in Papua. So that the existence of PYCH is considered as an appropriate step.
“We know that our country will experience a demographic bonus around 2035, most of Indonesia’s population is of productive age and in Papua alone there will be 2.6 million, or approximately 60 percent of the population of Papua and West Papua,” Jokowi said.
He also said that the government has carried out a lot of development in eastern Indonesia, especially in Papua, starting from infrastructure, education and other assistance.
On the same occasion, Head of BIN General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan emphasized that Papua has a special place in President Jokowi’s heart. This is because Jokowi has never stopped devoting attention to the progress of the easternmost part of Indonesia. One of the real proofs is the development of PYCH for the progress of Papua
“Starting from infrastructure development, Papuan human resources, especially young Papuan human resources, Papuan women, traditional and religious institutions, as well as business development for Papuan children,” said the Head of BIN.
Because of that, added the Head of BIN, the people of Papua, especially young people, really love, love and always miss the figure of President Jokowi.
