Winner of Round Two Women’s Team, Budi Gunawan An Important Figure Achievement Scores for the Jakarta Team BIN Wins Proliga 2023
Jakarta — Head of BIN, Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan is an important figure behind the success of the BIN Jakarta Volleyball Team in winning the 2023 Proliga in round two.
The PLN Mobile Proliga 2023 competition in the final round of the two series at the Yogyakarta UNY Sports Hall, February 16-19, was not very friendly towards the Jakarta women’s volleyball team, Pertamina Fastron. The two matches played by Eko Waluyo’s team ended in defeat, so they failed to win the second round.
The last defeat that Yolla Yuliana and friends received was from a team that had not made it to the final four, namely Jakarta Elektrik PLN with a landslide score of 0-3 (15-25, 21-25, 23-25) on Sunday.
In the first match, Jakarta Pertamina Fastron had to surrender to Jakarta BIN 2-3 (22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 20-25, 9-15). This defeat also made the position of champion in the second round which was in sight to be separated from Jakarta BIN. In the second round final standings, Jakarat BIN scored 11 points out of 5 matches. Pertamina Fastron is in second place with a score of 9 out of 5 matches.
For your information, the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) through the BIN Sports Association or Porbin formed two volleyball teams under construction, namely the Jakarta BIN Women’s Team and the BIN Samator Surabaya Men’s Team.
According to BIN Chief General Police (Purn) Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc., Ph.D., the formation of the two teams is a form of BIN’s commitment to the development of sports in Indonesia.
“This year we are starting to pay special attention to sports development. Because we want another effort to pioneer the return to the glory days of achievement sports in the country,” said Police General (Purn) Budi Gunawan in a written statement.
The coach of the Sports Union for the State Intelligence Agency (PORBIN), General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan, admitted that his party had gathered the best national athletes and coaches to join the BIN Jakarta Women’s Team and BIN Samator Surabaya Men’s Team.
“All branches developed at BIN already have professional athletes and coaches. We mobilize the potential of the best athletes and coaches at the national level to be involved in creating an ecosystem for the development of achievement sports at BIN. So that the potential of the best talents in this institution can be developed. Thank God, we see a great opportunity to make the nation proud on the international stage through this sport,” concluded the Head of BIN, Budi Gunawan.
