Indonesia Encouraged OIC Members To Solve Middle East Problem

Indonesia Foreign Minister, RetnoMarsudi attended ministerial conference which held by Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The purpose of this meeting was aimed at discussing developments in the region, especially Middle East.

She encouraged members of OIC to give contribution to build peace and stabilization in the Middle East. “OIC member countries should be able to give positive energy towards the current situation in the Middle East” she said.

She emphasized the current issue about relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran which has being a declined progress since execution of Shiite Leader by Saudi Government. She also underlined the importance of the OIC in taking several steps which might help build trust among the Middle East countries.

The meeting also touched in topics, such as increasing bilateral cooperating among the members, improving cooperation in spreading the good of “RahmatanlilAlamin” Islam and efforts to fight against radicalism and terrorism.

During her stay in Jeddah, she also conducted some bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Palestine and Bangladesh.
