Through the Ministry of Health, the use of New Normal diction was revised into New Habit Adaptation. In this regard, the Minister of Health, Terawan Agus Putranto has issued his latest policy, namely the Minister of Health Decree (KMK) Number HK.01.07 / MENKES / 413/2020.

The ministerial decree has gone through the revision stage five times. One of the reasons for changing the term adaptation of new habits, among others, is to adapt to scientific and technical developments in service needs by building productivity and optimism in the New Habit Adaptation Era.

All community activities have actually implemented these new habits. Although there are still some people who do not understand the importance of Adaptation to New Habits, it is the responsibility of each individual to remind each other. Adaptation to New Habits is how we change our behavior, lifestyle and habits. The situation when the PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) began to be relaxed, health protocols were still carried out as a precautionary measure from the danger of contracting the Corona Virus.

The adaptation of this New Habit is especially carried out in important sectors or areas such as houses of worship, markets or shops, offices, public transportation, hotels and restaurants, and is carried out when areas are categorized as safe zones (green zones) which are calculated based on data and facts in the field. But it is also suggested that the implementation of the New Habit Adaptation can be done anywhere and anytime, not based on certain boundaries so that no one is looking for reasons not to apply it.

It needs cooperation between the government and all elements of society in order to make the Adaptation of New Habits a success. The government has made efforts to formulate various policies and regulations so that new habits can have a maximum impact on crisis conditions due to the impact of Covid-19. Therefore, the community needs to participate actively by reminding each other so that each individual community has the responsibility to run it.

In addition, the Adaptation of New Habits can run effectively if the community is willing to obey and consistently carry out predetermined health protocols. It is hoped that all levels of society can understand and carry out this new life order as well as possible so that they can continue their normal activities (with new habits) and avoid the spread of the Corona Virus.

Let’s build a healthy and strong nation in the face of the challenges of the Covid19 pandemic in order to achieve the goal of a Just, Prosperous and Advanced Indonesian independence.
