Bali – The World Esports Championship or IESF World Esports Championship 2022, which took place in Bali on December 2-11, has been held.
Secretary General of the International Esports Federation (IESF) Boban Totovski representing IESF President Vlad Mainsescu, also handed over the IESF Esports World Championships flag to the Head of International Relations PB ESI and Chair of the Executive Board 2, Tjahjono Prasetyanto, as a sign that the event was ready to be held by the host.
The IESF Esports World Championship 2022 this time, according to Totovski, also carries the message “Unity in Diversity” or unity in diversity, which is in line with Indonesia’s motto and motto “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.”
The holding of the 2022 IESF World Esports Championship will be a milestone for PB ESI, as a member of the IESF and entered the Guinness Book of World Records because this year’s Esports World Championship is the biggest in Esports history with 105 countries participating. Besides that, it is also the biggest Esports Championship held Outdoor.
This was stated by PB ESI Daily Chairperson Bambang Sunarwibowo during a press conference at the Meruska Nusa Dua Bali hotel, Thursday 1/12/2022.
According to him, this is a matter of pride and also proves that Indonesia, in this case PB ESI, is seriously developing esports so that it can be increasingly in demand and excels on the international stage.
Furthermore, Bambang Sunarwibowo said PB ESI is committed to developing the Esports ecosystem in various regions. Therefore, PB ESI will continue to provide training so that Indonesian Esports athletes can gain achievements at the international level.
In addition, IESF Director of Operations Ilija Kurteski said that the esport championship would have the largest number of participants in the world.
“We have a Guinness record commission that was present at the world esport championship to become the first world esport championship with the most players and participants from countries in the world,” said Ilija.
The general chairman of PB ESI Budi Gunawan said that the IESF 2022 world championships must be a successful event and convey a message of encouragement to Indonesian esport athletes to become overall champions.
