General Chairperson of PBESI: Momentum Shows Indonesia’s Great Potential at IESF Bali 14th WE

Bali – PBESI Chairman Budi Gunawan is ready to present Indonesia’s greatest potential at the IESF Bali 14th WEC which is currently taking place from 2 -11 November 2022, as well as being able to elevate the creative economy industry to tourism in the country.

General Chairperson of the Indonesian Esports Association (PB ESI), General Pol (P.), Budi Gunawan expressed his optimism that PB ESI will become the best sports organization and will continue to promote Indonesian esports products so they can go international.

“I hope PB ESI can also become the best sports organization compared to other sports and these domestic Esports products can dominate our domestic market.” Budi Gunawan said.

Regarding these goals, hopefully at the world esports event titled Indonesia Esports Summit 2022 and the 14th World Esports Championships 2022 in Bali on December 2-11, Indonesia can achieve the best achievements. Indonesia Must Be Successful in Implementation and Achievement.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive of PBESI, Bambang Sunarwibowo, also said how optimistic he was about the event.

According to him, there will be a lot of improvement in the achievements of national esports athletes on the international level, so that they can strengthen the creative economy and tourism industries.

“The holding of the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14th World Esports Championships 2022 is one of PBESI’s most important agendas this year. PBESI is optimistic, Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14th World Esports Championships will be a strong foundation for Indonesia in the future as one of the world’s Esports centers and barometers,” he said.

Bambang further stated that Indonesia had once again made history, this time Indonesia succeeded in making the Esports World Championship into the Guinness Book of World Records. The entry of the World Esports Championship held in Bali into the Guinness Book of World Records is because this year’s Esports World Championship is the largest in the history of Esports with 105 countries participating. Besides that, it is also the biggest Esports Championship held Outdoor.

According to him, this is a matter of pride and also proves that Indonesia, in this case PB ESI, is seriously developing esports so that it can be increasingly in demand and excels on the international stage. This was stated by PB ESI Daily Chairperson Bambang Sunarwibowo during a press conference at the Meruska Nusa Dua Bali hotel, Thursday 1/12/2022.

Furthermore, on the same occasion, the President of the International Esports Federation (IESF) Vald Marinescu gave great appreciation to the Chairman of PBESI, Budi Gunawan and said that the 14th world class Esports World Championship competition in Bali in 2022 had been well prepared. He appreciated this because the Indonesian committee was very good at preparing it and making the athletes and delegates from various countries comfortable.

Vlad also considered that the Esports world championship this time which was held by Indonesia deserved to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records because it was the largest in the history of Esports championships involving many countries and being the largest made on the beach or outdoor.

On the other hand, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI), Zainudin Amali emphasized that his party would provide full support to PBESI.

“Kemenpora provided support to PB ESI in the 2022 Indonesia Esports Summit and 14th World Esports Championships 2022i,” he said.

The Menpora has great hopes that with this International Esports event there will be many athletes from this nation in order to make Indonesia proud.

“This activity is expected to bring out athletes who can make the nation proud on the international stage,” he continued.

During the opening ceremony of the IESF Bali 14th WEC, many Indonesian cultures were displayed which were also in order to introduce the nation’s cultural diversity, such as the performance of the Indonesian Pusaka song with several choreos. Then, the Saman dance and many others were also performed, which were collaborated with other world arts.
