Ignorance, reluctance to pay attention to the appeal, and lack of vigilance could have made this co-19 Pandemic never end. The tendency arises with the increase of positive patients with Covid-19 in Indonesia every day. The public needs to be more disciplined to implement a healthy lifestyle and follow the Government’s call as the key to success in facing the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the end of March, President Joko Widodo has stressed that the success of co-19 prevention through physical distancing or keeping this distance will succeed depending on the discipline of the community in following the government’s appeal.

During a meeting with governors throughout Indonesia via video conference president Joko Widodo said that it needed a strong discipline, strong decisiveness.

The reason is, he has read a news story of someone who has been isolated to help a neighbor who is going to have a celebration, another case of someone who has been isolated, instead shopping at the market. These actions violate the covid-19 prevention protocol.

From these cases, it can be assessed that public self-awareness of discipline in maintaining distance between one another is the only key to success in preventing covid-19 transmission.

Then, at the beginning of April, the Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), Bambang Soesatyo, believed that the bad situation of the co-19 pandemic could be overcome by the high discipline of all citizens and the cooperation of all parties including the central and regional governments.

Observing the development of cases of patients under surveillance (PDP) which are constantly increasing and the number of dead has increased significantly, he feels this is very worrying. Therefore, the Chair of the MPR appealed to citizens everywhere to be disciplined to carry out the following five government appeals, namely not going home and not picnicking, just at home, being prohibited from being close together and gathering, diligently washing their hands with soap and not touching their faces, when ill use telemedicine or go to the nearest health facility.

Discipline is indeed not something that is easy if it is not accompanied by high self-awareness. There are still many positive cases that are actually wandering around instead of isolation. Not only yourself, reminding one another is also very important. for example preventing family members in the red zone from returning home, or asking to do the test before arriving at home. These actions are part of the discipline in reducing the spread of the co-19 pandemic.

Just imagine, when a positive case covid-19 from the red zone then returned to his hometown. They interact with families, go to stalls, go to celebrations, or interact with villagers. Wouldn’t this spread more the red zone and spread more? For this reason, self-awareness of disciplinary action plays an important role in successfully stopping the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last Saturday, the Indonesian Embassy assigned to the People’s Republic of China and Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun said that conditions in China had now returned to 80 percent to normal. Its economic activities have begun to run, although everyone still has to be disciplined in maintaining various prevention protocols recommended by the government starting from the central, regional, village to RT / RW levels. One of the successes of China is with the application of high discipline, there are rules and if they violate the sanctions.

The application of high discipline in preventing the spread of covid-19 is not only done by the authorities, but also must be accompanied by high awareness from all walks of life, especially those in the red zone and people with positive cases.
