The Government Guarantees the Smooth Supply of End-of-Year Holidays BBM

The government guarantees the availability of fuel stock (BBM) during the end of the holidays in 2019. These efforts are taken as a form of the presence of the state in the community and expedite the mobility of people who want to travel.
To ensure the availability and smooth distribution of fuel at the end of 2019, Pertamina has formed a task force (task force) that has been on duty since 18 December 2020 and added fuel and LPG stockpiles. That according to Pertamina Marketing Operation Region V – East Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara is a strategy to optimize the distribution of energy needs during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

According to him, the Task Force Team will play a special role in monitoring and coordinating the distribution of fuel and LPG ranging from strengthening stocks, smooth distribution on the road, to monitoring conditions on the ground. Previously, Pertamina has also added stock in all Pertamina fuel terminals to anticipate an increase in consumption, starting on January 1, 2019. PT Pertamina projects that gasline fuel consumption will reach 28,000 kilometers per day.

To ensure the availability of fuel oil (BBM), Pertamina prepares various facilities during the long holiday period at the end of 2019. In an effort to improve services. Pertamina prepares Pertamina Delivery Services (PDS) which provides packaging fuel. Its position is in Merak, Jalarta-Cikampek-Cipali Toll Road, starting from Km 42 to Km 130.

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, Pertamina has the duty to distribute sufficient energy in the field. Pertamina serves for extra services for Pertamina customers. He said he acknowledged that Pertamina had prioritized these areas in order to get a more priority allocation of fuel supplies. Overall, Arifin ensured that the adequacy of the current BBM stock owned by the government was sufficient, and was able to accommodate the needs of fuel in all regions of Indonesia in the Christmas season and the new year this time.

Previously, Fajriyah Usman as Vice President of Corporate Communication Pertamina explained that the national fuel stock reached 25 days, while the LPG stock was 15 days. According to him the number tends to be dynamic and follows an upward trend ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

In addition to stock safety, Fajriyah also complied with several fuel products such as avtur and diesel, even in a surplus condition. This is inseparable from the support of domestic crude oil supply from PSCs operating in Indonesia, so that the resistance of refineries is increasing.

Pertamina is noted to have extensive energy infrastructure throughout the country. With 1112 TBBM, 9,677 Kilometers of pipelines, approximately 10,000 tankers and 6,781 gas stations throughout Indonesia. Readiness towards the end of the year is shown by Pertamina by having a complete infrastructure network for distribution. Then there are alternative and emergency regulatory distribution schemes to ensure the availability of fuel for the people of Indonesia.

Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency or BPH Migas which predicts the need for fuel or fuel at the momentum of Christmas and New Year 2019-2020, around 2,289.6 kiloliters.
