The government continues to make maximum efforts to realize the welfare of the Papuan people. This is marked by various government programs, including the existence of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH), the development of a Food Estate, and the development of Waibu Agro Edu Tourism.
The President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Joko Widodo (Jokowi) gave very high appreciation for the existence of Waibu Agro Edu Tourism which belongs to the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH), which is also part of the support of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in Kwadeware Village , Waibu District, Jayapura Regency, Papua.
It is known that in July 2023, the Head of State paid a direct visit to the tourist education center. Then he explained that the visit to Waibu Agro Edu Tourism was part of the Indonesian Government’s efforts to continue to encourage development in various sectors in society.
For your information, Waibu Agro Edu Tourism itself is a tourism education center which has a special aim and focus on the agricultural, livestock and fisheries sectors. Then it turned out that the origin of the name Waibu itself was not only because the tourist location was located in the Waibu district in Jayapura, but the name was also an extension of the new face of Indonesia (Waibu).
Several sectors such as agriculture, fisheries and livestock have recently been trying to be encouraged by the Indonesian Government during President Jokowi’s leadership so that they can develop and become more advanced, so that they are not inferior to other countries. This was also President Jokowi’s emphasis when visiting Papua.
Not only that, but the visit made by the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia also aims to support the entire young generation of the nation’s future, including those under the auspices of PYCH. This is because young people are at the forefront of efforts to advance and prosper the entire community, including the indigenous Papuan community (OAP) in the easternmost province of Indonesia.
It cannot be denied that young people have very high creative abilities. So that through the existence of the Papua Youth Creative Hub Building which was initiated by the State Intelligence Agency, all the creative power possessed by the young generation in Bumi Cenderawasih can have a place and be accommodated so that it can be developed to a much more optimal level. Therefore, in the future it will be able to bring many positive impacts to society.
It turns out, the PYCH building itself is not only a forum and is able to accommodate the creative power of the nation’s children in Papua, but there is also education that has been very optimally carried out by BIN. These young people continue to be given various kinds of learning from many things.
Not only that, the Government under the direction of President Joko Widodo is also active in realizing food security, one of which is through the construction of food estates. During his visit to Papua, President Jokowi visited the Food Estate corn development location in Mannem District, Keerom Regency, Papua. On that occasion, the head of state inspected the corn harvest he planted during his visit last March. The harvest location is in zone 9 with a corn area of 39 ha with a harvest reaching 7 tons per hectare.
Previously, President Jokowi also appreciated the implementation of the Papua Street Carnival. According to the President, he is happy to see how there has been a huge leap in the work of young people in Bumi Cenderawasih.
In the Papua Street Carnival event, quite a few young people from Papua all participated in enlivening and enlivening the activities with various kinds of work that they produced from their many backgrounds.
President Jokowi also reminded that in continuing efforts to manage all these activities, it is also important to be able to start from the market. Because it cannot be denied that everything will definitely come down to consumers and involve buying and selling activities there.
So of course, with more serious attention to consumption patterns in the market and market demand, everything can be used as a reference in starting production. Then later the production carried out will be very in line with tastes or demand in the market.
In the future, all that remains is to be accompanied by packaging for the various kinds of superior products that they have succeeded in producing, so that all of them can be used as good souvenirs for anyone who wants to visit or come from the Land of Papua.
So it is not surprising that all the efforts and efforts made by the State Intelligence Agency in terms of their attention and focus on the entire community on Earth of Cenderawasih, especially the youth there, deserve very high appreciation. This includes PYCH’s Waibu Agro Edu Tourism because it will be able to have an impact on improving community welfare.
